The Smart Show in Numbers

The analysis of the Smart Show spoke volumes about the building materials industry and their desire to have a building materials event despite the current conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. This Smart Show was the first of its kind to our industry, beating out competitors' online dealer markets by weeks. Our online platform allowed our dealers, their employees, contractors, and architects to learn about new product, see our special show pricing, win prizes, and engage with our company in an interactive way. The online platform had over 1,000 unique visitors with over 27,000 prize registrations. The national average for time on a website is just under 45 seconds. However, because of the engaging content and dynamic call-to-action features on the Dealers Warehouse Smart Show website, our customers are beating the national averages substantially. The average user spent just under 12 minutes perusing the show site and each supplier's online "booth" averaged over 750 visits.


In the last ten days, the Dealers Warehouse Smart Show has resulted in a 35% growth of our unique contact list. Because of our carefully integrated lead capturing and analytics features, we can now email a customer about the products which most interests them and recognize their individual account.


Of course, if you know anything about Dealers Warehouse, you know that we'd never be truly satisfied with settling for an entirely online event. So we put together a travel team and visited a few of our key accounts to show them our appreciation for their continued support and business.


The travel portion of the site allowed us to travel over 2,900 miles and visit 31 of our top customer accounts. Traveling 2,900 miles is equivalent to driving in a straight line from Knoxville to 200 miles past Juneau, Alaska. Throughout the course of ten days our travel team visited 5 states and 22 different cities.

None of this would have been possible if not for the help of all of our suppliers and employees that helped make the first-ever Dealers Warehouse Smart Show a huge success. Whether you sponsored prizes, sent us inspirational videos about your products, or helped us hand out ice cream and tee shirts at our dealer visit days, your help did not go unnoticed and will forever be appreciated. We are all encouraged greatly by these numbers and are looking forward to an even better event next year!
